What this app does

Restrict Payment Methods on Discount hides specific payment methods (such as Cash on Delivery or bank transfer) at checkout when a merchant-selected discount is active, or, if the merchant turns it on, when the cart contains at least a merchant-chosen number of different products. It is configured entirely by the merchant through the app's Settings page inside Shopify admin.

Data this app collects

This app does not collect, store, process, or transmit any customer personal data. It reads cart and payment-method information supplied directly by Shopify at checkout time, to decide which payment methods to hide, and discards it immediately after each checkout - none of it is retained, logged, or sent anywhere.

Data this app stores

The only data this app writes is store-level configuration, saved as Shopify metafields on the merchant's own discount and payment-customization records:

• Which discounts the merchant has marked as "restrict payment methods."
• The list of payment-method name keywords the merchant has configured to match against.
• The product-count rule: whether it is on, and the minimum number of different products that triggers it.

This configuration is owned by Shopify as part of the merchant's store data, not by this app's infrastructure, and is removed automatically when the merchant uninstalls the app or deletes the underlying discount/payment customization.

Mandatory compliance webhooks

As required for all Shopify apps, this app implements the customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact webhooks. Because no customer data is ever collected, these respond confirming that there is nothing to provide or delete.
